The Zygopetalum is multiplied by seeds and via meristeem. The advantage of the meristeem is its pure leaves. Seed cultivation often causes brown tips and spotted leaves. This results in many flowers of very different colours. Most colours vary between wine red and a brownish purple. The Zygopetalum is a scented orchid. This orchid craves a light location, but not direct sunlight. Once a week watering is sufficient. |
