This Miltonia has a bright, white flower with a purple and yellow heart. Since the flowers resembles a violet, it is also known as Violet Orchid. The country of origin is Colombia. It grows there on the river banks. The wild Miltonia species are hybrids and these hybrids are selected for further multiplication based on durability form and colour. Miltonia's come in many colours, some have interesting "masks" or "water fall" as a sign in the heart of the flower. The Herr Alexandre has a lot of big flowers. |
